Railroad Days
This event is a celebration of the railroad and the garden's Kenefick Park. Families can enjoy rides on a miniature train, model railroads on display, children's train activities, railroad music, historical lectures, displays of Union Pacific Railroad memorabilia and more. Model Car Contest
Model Car Contest and Swap Meet at the Mid-America Center. The event will feature over 100 tables of plastic model kits, die cast cars and kits, models of every kind, parts, built and un-built cars, promos, racing collectibles and other automotive collectibles. Vendors from across the Midwest such as Star Models, A/K Collectibles, Newt’s Boneyard, Arrowhead Aluminum and Aftermarket Accessories and Carl Pasak, a dealer for Modelhaus, among others will be showcasing their products. There will be Hot Wheel races for the kids and Duane Drew of Arrowhead Aftermarket Accessories will give a seminar on resin casting. The contest fee for entering is $2.00 for each vehicle entered and the Junior Class is free. There are 21 classes, six Best In Show awards and a huge trophy package. Over 20,000 ducks will be dropped into the lake and will race for a quarter mile until one lucky duck is the Grand Prize Winner!
